Support for typo3 v10 & v11?

TYPO3 10 is working in our internal gitlab right now. It is not yet cleaned up and tested, we hope to get this done till begin of January. Are you available for testing and debugging?

Hi buurman-en-buurman,

if you download the code from here: extract it, change into the typo3-forum-master directory inside and execute the build-release.sh. ./build-release.sh 1.2.99 will pack you a typo3_forum in version 1.2.99 (for the extensionmanager, not real version...) into typo3_forum_1.2.99.zip. That one is installable via EM.

It is very rude to write "Drupal is much easier in this sense" if people, including @ineswillenbrock are spending their sparetime in OpenSource so you can get a CMS and a connected forum totally for free and even help you installing everything.

You have a lot of possibilities to behave here: 1.) You can just spend money for the work you want to be done 2.) You can participate in testing 3.) You could just wait 4.) You can criticize our spare-time-work.

Our internal gitlab is not found on github. It uses also git below, but it is not yet publicly available. That has a good reason, the code is not yet finished and has bugs. Bugs we have not yet totally reviewed or do not even know. If we put this code in this repository we will receive a lot of messages from different people asking for help on problems we have not identified. Sure, some of them will be solved community wise, but we are not yet stable enough for this. It is a rework at a lot of locations.

@buurman-en-buurman please send me your email address to support@agentur-pottkinder.de and I will invite you to out gitlab and even send you a link how to download the zip file with the v10 extension.

My name is Guillermo, and I currently work in a small agency that has been working with TYPO3 for many years. Right now, we are working on a project, with TYPO3 10.4, for a customer that demands the use of a forum. So far, the only feasible extension we have found is typo3_forum, but since there is no version available for TYPO3 10, and we can't hear anything about it since April, we wonder:

• if there is scheduled date when the new version will be available,
• if there isat least a list of the stable functionalities,
• and if we could collaborate in some way to accelerate the launch.

Are you still accepting collaborators? Maybe we could send an email to support@agentur-pottkinder.de to ask for collaboration.

My offer: 1 Template for Bootstrap 4 and 5 could be delivered until the end of October. After checking bootstrap_package it's just one set of template files for BS4 and BS5 - and as there won't be much if any CSS necessary, that should be it.

Missing: information on which viewhelper and functionality will be still there.

Hi everyone, our customer wants to move to PHP 8.x by the end of the year. We have typo3_forum installed, but will really need a version that works with TYPO3 11.5 as that is the only TYPO3 version that will run on PHP 8 Is there any more information on when the extension will be available for TYPO3 11.5? we have a running version for 10 available with a few adjustments it will be available for 11 by the end of the year and hopefully before a stable v12 available for 12 as well. We have a sprint for that from 15.12 till the 06.01 so in our "holiday" phase. Hopefully we are going to totally enable PHP 8 and 8.1 that time.

Since an t3 upgrade to a higher version is pending, we would like to know: Is there any recent progress on adapting typo3_forum to t3 v11? You announced something would be done early January 2023. Do you think there will be something done sometime soon ?

Why is this not publicly pushed as new version for TYPO3 v11, either on Packagist nor in TER? We have no migration done yet. And writing a script will take a lot of time still so this is for us a running version but still with lots of work on it.

Thank you. But that probably doesn't help much, as this version seems to be incompatible with V10. A simple installation, for example, results in the error 'Validation failed while trying to call Mittwald\Typo3Forum\Controller\ForumController->showAction(). Or am I mistaken?

Die ist leider für v11 gebaut. v10 hatten wir ja im v10 Branch schon.

Edit: Sorry for my german. I was just in the middle of something and wanted to answer. It says: The v11 Branch is build for TYPO3 v11. We already have a v10 branch that should work with TYPO3 v10.
