DRM Video Streaming

I was trying Netflix and other streaming services with Agregore last night.
Apparently Netflix uses a shitty DRM protected thing
The others failed too, they came up with errors but nothing that would show how to fix them.

What I've tested:

• Netflix - Doesn't work
• Stan - Doesn't work
• Binge - Doesn't work
• ABC iView - Doesn't work
• YouTube - Works
• Crunchyroll - Works

Not sure if there's anything we can do to improve support.

There doesn't seem to be any P2P video streaming services that aren't just based on piracy.

I think for netflix support and other DRM based sites we'd need to add the Widevine binaries to the project: https://www.electronjs.org/docs/tutorial/testing-widevine-cdm

I don't think licensing Widevine is going to be realistic any time soon. Folks interested in that will need to look at other workarounds for now. 😅
