Books is a good topic. It is something that with a Class or a Club you could get a topic or some activity. I am not sure how you select a book or how you would get audience. Often time when we start a topic we want to design a verbal and then a visual flow of what we want to do. You don't have that.
Establish aa admin or moderator for a book. The moderator publishes book and writes a summary of what they thought about it. The rate the book. They then invite or advertise the book to others to request opinions by a certain data. This could be broken down into several dates to get opinions and discussion as group is reading the book. The moderator and other invitees could comment on the participants comments to generate discussion. Perhaps the moderator could be a teacher, or just a student that is trying to generate interest in an assigned book.
You will need a lot more detail planning to figure out how this will work.
