The Yamato Cannon upgrade is not actually called Yamato. It appears to still have the name "Weapon Refit", a holdover from a very early time when the Battlecruiser had more than one upgradable specialization you could pick from.
It would probably be helpful to new players' learning if we could rename the button "Research Weapon Refit" to "Research Yamato Cannon" since... well, that's what you're researching
