This project focuses on aiding the visually impaired to better interact and map their environment. Allowing both visual interpretation, and obstacle avoidance systems.
Further implementation will revolve around simplifying the detailed point cloud to simple geometric shapes for faster processing. The goal is to have the response of the unit to be as seamless as the processing of the human eyes to the brain and while that may not be exactly replicable, speeding up the process by any amount is beneficial.
