historic graph on the notification icon #19

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

It would be more useful if the icon displayed on the notification area showed a
historic graph of the last seconds of cpu usage, not just one bar showing the
current cpu usage.

Check the attached image if my wording is not clear enough.. :)

I already had try to do it before, because it has some technical problems, I
didn't find to a way to dynamic draw a notification icon, however, the
suggestion is a wonderful idea, I will keep to work on it.

I'm not an android developer and pretty new to android, so I'm not sure if this
helps, but I have seen two apps doing this:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.als.usagetimelines.pro
https://market.android.com/details?id=ms.salt.cpumonitormicro
CPUMonitor draws a graph behind the clock, maybe there are fewer restrictions
to draw in this area. The top process would also be very useful information.
But a perfect monitoring tool should also log (if wanted) activities as
timelines per process to spot things while the screen is off. I have found my
cpu load often rising right at this moment...
Thanks for your great tool!

The latest version (3.0.2) shows top 3 processes on notification area, but it
still haven't a historic graph, I will try it later.
