Planning Process

• Listing Individual Interests: Each team member shared their personal interests and skills to brainstorm potential project ideas.
• Finding Common Themes: We identified overlapping interests to focus on areas that aligned with the strengths and enthusiasm of the team.
• Assessing Feasibility: Each idea was evaluated for technical feasibility and scope to ensure it was achievable within our timeframe.
• Matching Project Goals: We compared ideas against project requirements to ensure they met our objectives.
• Team Consensus: After discussing the pros and cons, we reached a final decision that balanced passion and practicality.

Project Idea: CSA Student - The First Day (RPG)

Found style of game to base project off of -- top down, pixelated, moveable sprite

Created class and table definitions in backend

• Player class (id, name, email, computer science class(csse, csa, csp)
• Badge class(id, name, foreign key mapped to player id)
• Doing this allows us to keep track of persistent users and store their progress through a badge system for each popcorn hack

Created an endpoint to access a player's badges

• By passing in a path variable to the request uri of the player id, we can search for the player's badges
• This can be helpful for use in a profile system to display badges, leaderboard, and an overview of a student's progress as a teacher
