Update React dependency to "^17.0.0" #6

Hi there, just wanted to give this project a whirl on a fresh project, but the React dependency is set at ^16.0.0.

Potentially there may be some issues to mitigate because of changes to how event delegation works in v17. See the announcement post here. But otherwise 17 was more of a incremental release, so hopefully it'll be a pretty smooth upgrade.
