Problem with ESP 8266 Arduino core 3.0.2 #197

This code runs fine when using ESP8266 Arduino core 2.7.4. I run it without any problems for more than half a year now.

But when I compile it with ESP8266 Arduino core 3.0.2. It fails.

My Alexa 1 Gen echo dot doesn’t work anymore with the Espalexa implementation on a Nodemcu 1.0. When I recompile the code with core 2.7.4, the setup works fine as before.

Any suggestions?

I am facing same problem on esp32 too. Alexa is failed to discover devices.
