Echo Dot wont find device #86

looks like my esp8226 Nodemcu v1.0 notices the search but doesnt respond can anyone help with a solution?

For some additional info - im using the latest esp8266 5.2 core Using the provided espalexiabasic example echo is gen 2 dot running firmware 647591020
