I am really struggling to get my phone to find lights. I’m using node mcu with WiFi. It connects with WiFi on computer, but when I open WLED app on iPhone, it can’t find lights. I have made sure I’m on same network. I have tried multiple nodemcu’s, tried soft reset phone, tried to delete and re download app. Am I missing something?

Ditto, I am having issues with the app also. Discovery says it sees my WLED, great.. now what. After that my phone falls asleep and locks.. so I can't click on anything before it does that.. meaning the back arrow on the left corner or the check mark on the right corner.. so I'm not sure why it wont discover and then let me pick the 1 of the 3 items it found.

I was finally able to connect my phone to my lights after days of trying, but now there are other problems. When I change color or effects on the app, sometimes it won’t change it on the lights unless I unplug the power to the lights, plug it back in and try again. I can’t figure out if it is just not communicating with the esp8266 or if the esp8266 is a piece of crap, or if the app is a piece of crap. I have tried three different esp8266 boards. When I save a preset, I go to it later and it is never what I saved. It is just solid red. I try to create segments but the lights never change to the segment I create. It is constantly disconnecting. It is very frustrating. Does anyone know an app I can use with this esp8266 with to control my lights besides wled?
