The scatter plot optimization that removes points outside the plot area from 
the drawing path changes the shape of the curve when points are removed. The 
"Curved Scatter Plot" demo in the Plot Gallery app demonstrates this problem.

The drawing method for curved scatter plots should be modified so that the 
shape of the plot line doesn't change as points are removed.
