It would be cool to have option to swipe to reply on message, same as in Telegram Native Client

We do have that already.

This feature, along with #332, suggests adding support for handling Touch Bar swipes specifically. However, it is currently not functioning.

Can you elaborate on how which part of those two exactly differs from the current behavior?
