Long-press for numbers/symbols #37

In addition to swiping, I think it would be useful to have an option of
long press generating numbers/symbols.

Long press to type numbers is already possible. I can add symbols too.

Indeed it is, hadn't noticed. What would be nice is an option to have the
number
inserted immediately instead of the popup. Maybe that's not possible though.

I have considered this. Or more accurately, I have considered showing the popup
and
selecting the button without releasing the finger, and then typing the
character when
you release the finger. You would then only have to long press to type the
first
character in the popup.

However, I haven't found out how to implement this yet.

Please add the symbols too, just like the original keyboard is on the Desire
(don't
know if all android phones have the same).

A hide keyboard key is also wanted

Check the sources for the FroYo default keyboard (when the source is released).
In
that (atleast on my Nexus), you can hold the top buttons on the keyboard and
slide
upwards to get a mini (semi-transparent) keyboard with numbers and common
symbols
(which are typed when you release the finger).

You should check that solution out, since it's almost exactly what people here
(and
me) are asking for, and should (soon) be open source and based on the same code
base
as scandinavian keyboard. =)

If would be nice if the numbers/symbols you get from log press were displayed
on the
keys in small print, just like on the standard Legend keyboard

One vote for this. Symbols in smart print would be appreciated. I use smart
keyboard pro for now because of this. :)

Also, nordic keyboard would be much more accurate name than scandinavian.

+1 for both the symbols in small print and selecting the symbol without the
extra tap.

Otherwise, perfect kb for me, thanks!
