missing icelandic characters

these characters seam to be missing. Þ þ and Ð ð

You probably haven't selected the correct language. The Icelandic keyboard is 
working fine.

You have to press ?123 and select Input method and there select Scandinavian 
keyboard.
If you still can't see Þ and Ð then you need to select the Icelandic layout.
Again press ?123 and select Scandinavian keyboard settings and find Keyboard 
layout and select Icelandic.

This info is displayed when you install the Scandinavian keyboard.

i have the on screen keyboard working (had not tryed it when i made the topic. 
i have a LG gw620 and when i'm using the flip out keyboard Þ and Ð are the 
only ones i cant find. iv'e held down every button and tryed every button whyle 
using tha alt type key.
they just dont come upp

I cannot get the letters Ó,ó Á and á using the Icelandic keyboard layout on 
Scandinavian keyboard v1.4.4 on Android 2.1 with Motorola Blur. I think, I have 
everything configured correctly as I get a keyboard with þ and ð keys and by 
pressing long on e, u, i, I can get é, ú and í. However, long pressing on o 
and a only offers ö and ä, but not ó and á.

(Of course using the dictionary suggestions, I can just type "bok" and then 
select the suggested "bók", but the dictionary suggestions are not displayed 
everywhere, e.g. not in the keyboard for contacts.)

An update to my comment #4: I just found out that the system locale setting not 
only influences the standard "multitouch" keyboard layout, but also the 
Scandinavian keyboard layout (which probably inherits from the standard 
multitouch keyboard layout and the locale setting). When having German system 
locale setting, already the standard multitouch keyboard does after long 
pressing on o and a only offer ö and ä, but not ó and á. After switching, 
e.g. to English (US) locales, already the standard multitouch keyboard does 
after long pressing on o and a only offer all the accented letters (including 
ó and á.) and Scandinavian keyboard then subsequently offers them as well.

While using English locales solves my problem, it would nevertheless be nice, 
if Scandinavian keyboard would override the restricted set of letters imposed 
by German locale setting. (Looking at the source code, it seems that adjusting 
the XML files might be sufficient...)

add font containing characters to /system/fonts, modify 
/system/etc/fallback_fonts.xml so android finds font then reboot. Everything 
should be working now
