first letter lags when texting #90

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a new text message
2. Start typing
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is a smooth text input, it now lags visably on the first text 
input. As far as I can see the problem exists on all skins that I have 
available.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v 1.4.4 /x10 2.1

Please provide any additional information below.
