This makes the app visible in the PureOS Store on the Librem 5.

Long story short, the Librem 5 is a privacy-focused mobile phone running regular desktop-like GNU/Linux operating system. This means that desktop GNU/Linux apps usually run on the phone as well - but "runs" doesn't necessarily mean "is usable", as not all desktop applications work well on a small touchscreen. That's why it's necessary to mark the application as "mobile friendly" so it can show up in the store :)
