The readme.MD at the top-level contains the instructions for software installation. These installations must be sorted according to dependency requirements.

Another issue is with Maven installation; Maven comes as an eclipse plug-in and also as a stand alone installation. We may need to have instructions for one or both variations.

I have updated README to include instructions for integrating Maven with Eclipse and marked it as the recommended method (commit 44713ac735ecb1fef8a558c7f1b9b222fd5d09ad).
