Not releasing 9patch region selection upon leaving image

Drag a region selection square, with your mouse button held down.
Move the cursor outside of the image and release the mouse button.
Move the cursor back in the image and the stretch region is still moving with 
the mouse.

When I release the mouse button outside of the image I expect it to let go of 
the stretch region.
