I have asked the dev of Omegleweb to share link to omegleweb's code. I'll update the readme as soon as I get link
I email the website using the email address in the "contact" button, this is what i sent:
You are violating the license of a open source project
see here:
https://github.com/AkashKarnatak/Ajnabee/issues/17
Please link to the source code from your website, otherwise the case might move to a non profit that deals with AGPL enforcement and that might lead to litigation.
similarweb shows that the website have became pretty popular 786K visits in january (more then one website in my country that seems fairly popular), so i think this is worth going after.
Got a response from him:
We completely rewrote the source code. We no longer use it.
I don't see any change in the website, could he be lying? , Anyway if you are interested the software freedom reportedly does GPL enforcement.
The main page mentions omegleweb uses this source code, this issue by @anantkrsingh mentions there is also another instance.
Using the AGPL license means they have to link to the source code from the websites (and give back to the community), I don't see a link in neither of these websites.
