chore(GH-67): Remove .vscode configuration file

Description of the pull request

This PR removes the .vscode config file and makes sure that these settings remain local and don't clutter our repo or cause problems between contributors' local dev environments.

Changes made

• Removes the .vscode file.
• Adds .vscode to the .gitignore.
