[FEATURE REQUEST] Double Focus #202

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. This is to prevent accident wrong focus when scanning i.e. multiple pages of a book

Describe the solution you'd like An option, that allows us to force a re-focus right before taking a photo (similar to the double focus feature of CamScanner)

@0lm thanks for the request. So what you are asking is for a feature to force an automatic focus right before the photo is taken? Is it au auto focus? or a focus at a certain point in camera?

Hello. I am not quite sure. The focus I know from CamScanner works like, as if you clicked on the mid of the Phone Screen, to make it focus. But CamScanner has a feature, that is doing this automatically when you click on "take photo"-button. Before taking the photo, it focus the mid again to be sure not to have any blurry images.

Basically, nothing complex, just a simple focus on the mid. Why could this be helpful: Sometimes, at the end of chapters in books, only 1/4 of the upper half of the page is written and rest is empty, and next page can be empty, too, when introducing a new chapter. This way, the camera can be confused and could think it is just an empty page, causing the 1/4 text being completely blurry. (this happend to me many times with the normal system camera of my phone, for example)

To prevent that, a forced focus right before the photo is taken (atfer already having pushed the take-photo button) can be very helpful.

Not sure how many people will have similar situations. But I never found a Double Focus feature in any Camera App or Scanner App yet. Only one that had this feature, was CamScanner. In my opinion, it would even make sense to build a double focus feature into normal camera Apps, like the Samsung Cam App etc. While most Cam Apps have Focus on Moving objects, after pushing the take-photo button, it never applies focus again right before the photo is taken. If you ask me, this could be very helpful with tons of photos, regardless of scans or not. I wonder why such a feature never made it anywhere but into CamScanner.
