Added modifications to convert .doc-files

Converts .doc-files now as well. I have added two modifications:

changed the glob pattern from .docx to .doc*
added assertion tests: assert str(input_path).endswith((".docx", ".DOCX", ".doc", ".DOC")) I also made an attempt to modify the help string.

You are right. Sorry, but I can do nothing about the MacOS part.

I have restored the original doc-string.
I left the changes to the glob pattern and assertion tests of the Windows parts.
