Improve show_progress slowing down display #244

When the setting show progress indicator is enabled, scrolling through thumbnails is slowed down considerably, due to the many window updates.

Solved by switching from the full show progress indicator to the minimal version. Progress is still visible, but without the unnecessary window updates.
