Here you go:

1. Add these repositories by going to Cydia > Manage > Sources > Add
-http://cydia.hackulo.us/ and http://repo.insanelyi.com/
2. Go to Search and type in Installous. Install the one from the Hackulous repo
3. Next Search iFile. Install the one from the insanelyi repo
4. Respring your iDevice if necessary
5. Next search for Safari Download Manager. Install it.
6. Now come here and download the ipa for iTransmission
7. Open iFile and go to var/mobile/Media/Downloads
8. Hit Edit > Select the iTransmission ipa > tap the clipboard in the bottom
right
9. Tap Cut
10. Then go to var/mobile/Documents/Installous/Downloads
11. Tap Edit then the clipboard in the bottom right and tap paste
12. Now close iFile and open Installous. Tap iTransmission and then install

It's much simpler than it looks. Enjoy!

Hmmm. It worked for me... If it won't work then your only other option is a
computer. Make sure to have the latest AppSync installed from the Hackulous
repo.

Thanks! It worked perfectly for me on my iPad 2 and iPhone 3GS. Question is how
do I play the downloaded video?

Get AVplayer or GoodPlayer from Installous. These two apps will play anything
from MKV to RMVB to Xvid. Then copy the files from iTransmission folder to
your player's folder using iFile again. To find the folders you should be able
to use SBSettings Application folders feature.

Also, I couldn't get it installed and working using the above method, but I'll
put that down to the fact that I'm using iOS 5.1
