Not showing menu bar

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Run heekscad
2.Not showing menu bar for File, Edit, etc.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should should the menu bar to choose File, Edit, Geometry, View.
However, the corresponding menus appear only if I press Alt+F, etc. But the bar 
itself never appears.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Heekscad 0.16.0 
windows made with wxWidgets 2.8.9
Ubuntu 10.10

I don't have this problem with 64-bit Ubuntu 10.10 using r1443 from the 
repository built with wx 2.8.11.  This version is numbered beta 0.15.1 in the 
repository.
