Selecting connect to host doesn't always show host settings dialog

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select connect to host
2. type in bogus hostname
3. try to connect to different hostname

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Show the host connection dialog, always attempts and fails to connect

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
gnome/linux/r413

Please provide any additional information below.
If an attempt to connect to a host fails it should display the host connection 
dialog, otherwise the only way to fix this issue is to edit the config file.

Just open the program's options and enter other host name.
