Newer version? #18

Hi, the 2015 version almost works, I get some critical section clashes and it closes before launching on my ancient windows code. Is there a newer version available? May I help compile and test it? Thanks, Bradshaw in Buzzards Bay MA

There is a comparatively new version with "Stretch" forked by @Mikerr. However, there is no issue tracker there, and Mikerr has not responded to my e-mail requesting an updated version (e.g. to Buster). This makes things like #12 a rather difficult issue to address, since it seems like neither of these projects are actively maintained--so we'll always be stuck in the past.
