Should MariaDB also be mentioned under Prerequisites in Getting Started? https://guides.alchemy-cms.com/getting_started.html#prerequisites

The audience for AlchemyCMS very likely knows that MariaDB and MySQL are compatible. However, we will likely accept a Pull request to that end to the alchemy-guides repo.
