Better late than never... I found some time to implement a simple tag feature. It has been pushed today, and should be available on f-droid soon.
It is for now not included in import/export, but should be done asap.

Maybe you could add tags to be able to filter by certain criteria. In particular I'm thinking of a "platform" tag (disc, cinema, VoD) and a tag if series are still running, but there certainly are more use cases for this.
