I realize there's a lot of stuff that could be improved on, but the game's running fairly well, so could we maybe start working on the next chapter of the game?

FoE is on hiatus currently, and has been for a long time. No development is ongoing, either code improvements or story-wise.

any reason why? i assume just no longer interested but its always nice to hear from the creator directly

Pretty much lack of interest/burnout, yes.
