Expected Behavior
While the Thalassodromeus is able to swim on the surface of the water without loosing stamina, it does not have the physical capabilities to quest within deep water the same way that aquatics do. Expected quest behavior for the Thalassodromeus would be the same as any non-aquatic dinosaur. It is expected the Thalassodromeus would not receive go-to oceanic points of interest or be given oceanic quest to complete in deep water.
Because the Thala does not receive sub-aquatic quest in other areas, such as Green Valley or Triad Falls, it is expected the Thala would not receive aquatic quest in areas such as Sunken Hoodooos or Volcano Bay.
Current Behavior
Currently, the Thalassodromeus receives go-to quest for oceanic points of interest. When arriving, it receives underwater quest it is incapable of completing without taking damage from drowning. I have tested this multiple times with different oceanic points of interest, including Sunken Hoodooos and Volcano Bay.
Attached are 2 different videos displaying my Thala receiving both oceanic go-to quest and oceanic quest in both Volcano Bay and Sunken Hoodoos. I have been able to replicate this after re-launching the game.
I also tested other points of interest within Gondwa that do have aquatic quest available for sub-aquatics. This includes Triad Falls and Green Valley. Both PoI have lake sponge quest available for sub-aquatics to complete, however, these quest do not display when the player is on a Thalassodromeus. This is inconsistent, as the Thala receives oceanic quest in significantly deeper water, compared to the lakes of these 2 areas.
Below is timestamps displaying times the Thala took damage due to drowning, received a oceanic go-to quest, or receives oceanic quests for the point of interest.
Questing Volcano Bay PoI: 0:06: Thala has Go-to quest for Volcano Bay. 1:42: Receives starfish quest after entering VB PoI. 3:58: Takes drowning damage collecting quest items. 9:53: Takes drowning damage collecting quest items. 11:36: Takes drowning damage collecting quest items. 14:20: Completes all quest for VB. Upon completing quest for Volcano Bay, Thala took additional drowning damage swimming back to the surface of the water.
Questing for Sunken Hoodoos PoI: 0:00: Receives lake sponge quest for Sunken Hoodoos. 1:43: Takes drowning damage collecting quest items. 2:29: Takes drowning damage collecting quest items. 10:26: Takes drowning damage collecting quest items. 13:20: Takes drowning damage collecting quest items. 15:06: Takes drowning damage collecting quest items. 17:44: Abandons questing in SH as risk of drowning damage becomes more significant in deeper water. 17:50:Begins to fly toward go-to oceanic quest for The Teeth.
