Further Testing
The hitbox while sleeping seems to shift forward, with the tail now having no hitbox. The head hitbox expands forward and is able to be hit for a distance ahead of the model.
1 - Have a Ungulatus Stegosaurus and dino small enough to test hitboxes together 2 - Have the Stego sleep 3 - have the small dino attempt to hit the tail of the stego 4- After testing that, stand far in front of the stego and slowly approach while biting until you find the head hitbox
Originally we had only tested the Ungulatus Stego and Stenops Stego, but have now also tested the Sulcatus Stego. The hitbox issues seem to only be with the Sulcatus Stego and can not be replicated on the other 2 subspecies.
More Post Testing
We further tested and attempted replication of this bug and found that the bug is not caused by the specific species of stego, but rather this bug here (https://github.com/deathlyrage/pot-demo-bugs/issues/7747) being repeated. Once you spawn in attempt this bug for a long time it slowly shifts your hitbox further and further.
After spawning and using the right click attack the hitbox remains equal with the body. When the Alioramus bites the end of the Stegosaurus' tail, the hit should register and the Stego should take damage.
After replicating this bug here repeatedly (https://github.com/deathlyrage/pot-demo-bugs/issues/7747) the stegos hit-box will slowly shift further and further from the model the more the bug is repeated.
Have a small creature capable of testing with a Stego.
Follow reproduction steps here for the tail vibration bug (https://github.com/deathlyrage/pot-demo-bugs/issues/7747) repeatedly. Stopping after the bug is achieved then repeat a couple of times. Once the bug is done at least a couple times it seems like the drifting effect continues even without more repetition.
Have the small creature test the hitbox by stepping from the far left of the Stego to the far right while biting and search for the hitbox. Sometimes the hitbox even shifts forward so it can take some searching to find where it has moved to.
https://youtu.be/dzBbssTH7eQ In the video, you can see I first test the hit-box, freshly logged in and it works as expected. I then start repeating (https://github.com/deathlyrage/pot-demo-bugs/issues/7747) and it shifts slightly next time we test the hitbox. By the 3rd test the hit-box has shifted significantly to the left and forward.
EDIT: More Testing/Updates below in the Comments
Expected Behavior
When the Alioramus bites the end of the Stegosaurus' (Subspecies Ungulatus) tail, the hit should register and the Stego should take damage.
Current Behavior
On the Ungulatus Stego subspecies, the entire hitbox is off to its right. Hits directly on the Stego's body do not register, but when hits are placed directly to the right of the Stego's position, hits register.
Reproduction Steps
Get a dino to test hitboxes and an Ungulatus Stego
Sidestep past the back of the Stego and keep biting towards the tail
Walk from left to right behind the stego biting straight in front and keep walking right past the stego until you find the hitbox

Only when the Alioramus bites directly to my right do hits register. Also shown is my friend who is the Stenops subspecies of Stegosaurus, which has the correct hitbox.
