Please provide a link to an unsupported media stream, otherwise there is no point in the Issue and it will be closed.

I also recommend installing LAV Filters. Just install, no need to configure anything.

It opens, albeit every once in a while. Apparently there is some kind of timeout. The question is - why open it this way?

Yes - the built-in Source filters have limitations when working through a pipe. No changes are planned. As already advised - install LAV.

Because of the very fast network loading speed of opening videos this way, there are very many people in the mpv community looking into this way of playing streaming media. So I thought I'd try it in MPC-BE to see how it works?
