Are you watching a video and your computer goes to sleep? Show filters list during playback.
No, I meant that: 1- I go away and leave the player open (with or without a video opened and paused) 2- after a while the pc goes to sleep 3- when I come back and resume, the program is frozen.

I usually use MPC-BE to watch Youtube. I tried leaving a local mp4 file instead, as a test, and the player didn't freeze. Maybe it's a connection issue? I'll try waiting more next time and see if the program resumes
Youtube shouldn't be left like this, its links are temporary and after some time they are no longer available. Yes - the player shouldn't freeze, but it's simply impossible to catch something like this.
Ok, but in the old versions the video simply stopped if the link expired.
Current version must do the same.
Btw I also noticed:
- the pc going to sleep isn't necessary for the bug to happen, you just need the link to expire.
Will it freeze if you unplug the LAN cable or turn off the adapter?
Youtube is blocked in Russia, so the developers can't help here :)
Ah damn. Btw are there logs to check somewhere?
After sleep, just press Ctrl+E to reload to avoid problems.

It doesn't do anything if the program is frozen.
Anyway weird, because this bug never happened when I was still on my old pc (with Win7 lol) a few weeks ago.
Does it also freeze if the player is paused before going into sleep? And you of course reload directly after resume from sleep before unpausing.

It doesn't matter if the video is stopped or paused, MPC-BE still freezes. And you can't interact with the player when it's in that state.
Btw I noticed that the entry on the taskbar keeps.. refreshing or something.
Now YT has suddenly started requesting to login even from the player (which is impossible). So I guess it's over anyway.. EDIT1: it seems it was temporary, it only lasted 1 day EDIT2: now all YT links become "invalid" and the message is "cannot render the file"

As per title, the program freezes after resuming the pc after inactivity. I have to kill it in task manager and restart it.
