Find code on Github to be able to download the collected data from the watch. Write down where it is from (for later citation). Import code into project, test functionality and customize it.

Currently not working at all. So, I am putting this part on ice. Will research more on the side about APIs but I will focus on the GUI.

Could you elaborate a bit more? What repos/ websites did you look at, what did you try and what does not work?

I have found a promising open source code called "free your gadget". This is the link: https://codeberg.org/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge/wiki/Mi-Band-6. However, the instructions are very complicated, and I am quite afraid that I will break the watch if I run erroneous code. I have also tried to export the data, but the data I need cannot be exported.
