High CPU crash with Chrome 95.0.4638.54 #1261

OS: macOS Monterey Browser: Chrome 95.0.4638.54

It looks like there might be some kind of CPU hogging glitch happening with the latest Chrome.

I use Trumbowyg on one of our internal systems. Over the last few days I've had reports of high CPU usage, the issue seems easy to reproduce by visiting https://alex-d.github.io/Trumbowyg/
