Hello Mr @Alex313031 , how are you ? Thank you so much Mr Alex fir the saver life so useful vital great amazing Mercury-Win7 ! πŸ’― πŸ₯‡

because my main laptop broke down recently and I went back to using my old laptop from year 2012 and so Mercury-Win7 is very useful vital and saves my machine from destruction !

Please i have request : watching streaming video is almost impossible on my windows 7 laptp made in 2012 because streaming video freezes, bugs....in web browsers (even in chromium) probably because my cpu is weak and no hardware acceleration support or old os.....

but downloading streaming streaming videos using several open source video download extensions and so i can playback downloaded videos with potlayer 32 bits for windows 7 and 3DYD Youtube Source plugin 32 bits which adds support of yt-dlp( we should enable dxva in potplayer and change to default system video decoders so that potplayer works normally in windows 7 32 bits), and smplayer, qmplay2, kmplayer, mpc be 32 bits, mpc hc, vlc 32 bits which are compatible with my windows 7 32 bits alahmdoulilAllah, i even speak to catch catch extension and open in vlc developers which allow to preview videos and send them to local video players like vlc and potplayer and developers have fixed several bugs recently and added new features options and thus, i no longer need to wait the download finish and i can send directly heavy video streaming to vlc or potplayer which have support of capital unique Dynamic Adaptive Streaming / MPEG-DASH whereas firefox and chrome and edge do not support this essential feature Dynamic Adaptive Streaming / MPEG-DASH for more stable streaming)!

and even fdm is compatible with windows 7....

the problem these download extensionsideally work with the latest version of firefox which can bring bug fixes, and our beloved Mercury-Win7 is based on firefox esr 115 , even though mozilla recently announced that it will continue to update firefox esr 32 bits even after september 2024, we can't enjoy the last version of firefox 32 bits in our wndows 7 os 32 bits , what concerns me is extensions often recommend to install the latest version of the web browser, and I just discovered r3dfox : an amazingly beautiful fork of modern firefox frequently updated (r3dfox uses firefox version 129 !!) and it will be great please that our beloved Mercury-Win7 will become based on r3dfox browser please to avoid compatibility issues with addons extensiosn updates, thank you so much !

yes our beloved Thorium legacy uses the latest versions of chromium 32 bits lts but I think firefox is lighter than chromium especially in my old and weak laptop in addition in firefox, I can disable session store, accessibility feature, apparently no sandboxing....so firefox seems to be more lighter than chromium and I think it's the ideal for my weak old laptop....

Thank you very much Mr @Alex313031 and Mr @gz83 again for all your efforts to support the millions of machines that still under windows 7 32 bits and thus save the ecology and our wallets and economy !

I've been doing @Alex313031 pls make Mercury r3dfox every time someone brought up DRM in issues, but it just hasn't happened. Now we have Luminafox which is in a lot of ways r3dfox with different branding and DRM support.

Mr @K4sum1 , thank you again for your precious and important advice and suggestion :) because i would ike and i need to use many firefox web browsers forks, one fork when i disable session store or to space out the session store save times to preserve energy and my hard drive..... another firefox fork where i keep the default values to avoid possible instability and I use it for mail, surfing on twitter .... and other fork I use to only install the video downloader extensions so I no longer need to disable the extensions addons that can be heavy to make navigation more fluid smoother....

I just have a question please, I found this post written by "K4sum1" in this famous website :

https://msfn.org/board/topic/186106-r3dfox-modern-firefox-based-web-browser-for-windows-7/

so Mr @K4sum1 , are you the real original developer of the magnificent life saver great R3dfox browser ?

Do you also develop Luminafox ? or another team of developers develops the Luminafox browser? In any case, thank you very much again for your valuable help :) πŸ’― πŸ₯‡

Mr @K4sum1, I see you are also developing forks of palemoon and basilisk browsers! That's great! Thank you very much! I have obviously installed palemoon and basilisk, but I have a serious problem when streaming video from the vidmoly streaming platform:

i often go to chrome://media-internals/ to find kframeurl to use it with the open in vlc extension in thorium or supermium browsers so i know this is embed vidmoly video from vidmoly platform, so in palemoon and basilisk, the third media player in this website:

https://french-anime.com/animes-vf/1462-demon-slayer.html

and the first media player of this website:

https://v5.voiranime.com/anime/kimetsu-no-yaiba-4-vf/

these media players of embed videos vidmoly platform do not work unfortunately in palemoon and basilisk :( no video is displayed! I even installed an extension to change the user agent in palemoon and basilisk and I was able to watch the vidmoly video but after, there is a bug and no more vidmoly videos are displayed :( we hope this bug will be fixed please, or please try to inform the developers of palemoon and basilisk of this serious bug, thank you very much :) I think the user agent is the problem, because the palemoon user agent indicates that it is palemoon so vidmoly was able to block palemoon ....

I also have a vital question please: I installed vlc with the npapi plugin for palemoon and basilisk browser, I activated the vlc plugin in palemon and basilisk, yet when I playback html5 video from :

https://french-anime.com/animes-vf/

https://vostfree.ws/last-anime-vf.html

it seems to me palemoon does not use the vlc plugin to display the video, why? vlc is lighter than html5, the video quality is better, we can reduce the video quality of vlc if our computer is weak, increase the network buffer if our wifi is weak, and vlc supports Dynamic Adaptive Streaming / MPEG-DASH unlike firefox and chrome!

so please is there a way to replace the html5 playback with vlc plugin in palemoon? why palemoon does not use the vlc plugin by default for playback of html5 videos? it's disappointing :(

the interest of palemoon is to use third-party plugins removed by firefox, in any case it is impossible to playback html5 video in palemoon because video freeze lag and using vlc plugin can solve this lag problem and I hope you can talk to the developer of palemoon about this major problem please, thank you very much :)

ye

Do you also develop Luminafox ? or another team of developers develops the Luminafox browser?

I help with development, but it is another developer's project.

I have obviously installed palemoon and basilisk, but I have a serious problem when streaming video from the vidmoly streaming platform:

I suggest reporting that to Pale Moon devs yourself. Either on their forum or bug tracker.
