Links opened from any other application do nothing. Link association problem? #138

System Details

Problem Attempting to click links in any other application do not open in Thorium, even though it is set as the default browser in my system.

If I set Brave to default, links work. When I set it back to Thorium, links don't work again. Other users of AtlasOS do not have this problem with Thorium.

Additional Notes Originally after installing Thorium, the option for "Set as Default Browser" didn't even appear under Thorium. I had to manually change each protocol association from Brave to Thorium. But now the Set as Default is showing up, but it does not fix this issue.

Not sure how to restore this functionality.

Uninstalling without deleting data and installing the AVX2 version seems to have fixed this.

Even though this definitely is a bug:

  1. I have no idea if it was caused by outside sources.
  2. Reproducing would likely be impossible.
  3. There isn't sufficient evidence that Thorium was even the issue

So, I am closing this... There's no point leaving an issue open with no way to find the cause.
