@Martinligabue Ventoy does support .bin files, I can boot TailsOS using Ventoy.
I think having it explicit in the description of the project would be helpful
@Martinligabue Probably, I personally didn't read the ventoy docs. I just dragged my .bin file in and it was able to boot and work.
@Martinligabue You gotta rename the file from .bin to .img for it to show up in ventoy (.bin and .img are pretty much the same). I did forget to mention this, sorry if I confused you a bit.

thanks, I'll see if the Ventoy project is interested
@Martinligabue @FordCorn Yeah, you should be able to boot ChromeOS Flex/Cloudready/ThoriumOS. I started renaming the .bin to .img before uploading, that way users don't have to worry about it. Ventoy and Etcher and Rufus dislike .bin files, and work flawlessly with .img files. ChromiumOS is strange in this way. I don't know of any other OS that uses .bin files as the default disk image format.
Well unfortunately while thoriumos does boot with ventoy, it does not work properly. I kept gettin profile errors and the browser would keep restartin. Does the kernel provide an option for image file? If so, I could try a custom entry like the one shown here: https://forums.ventoy.net/archive/index.php?thread-103-2.html
I see the image file is .bin, so I think this will not be possible without changing the format of the file to ISO/WIM/IMG/VHD(x) formats.
Is there a possibility the format will change to one supported by Ventoy?
