Add support of Microsoft edge store, opera store, firefox store, naver whale store to avoid censorship of the chrome store

I use this extension to donwload videos but this extension is limited in chrome store anc i can't dowload youtube videos, but the version of this extension in microsoft edge store can dowlnload videos from youtube , it will be amazing if Thorium could be compatible with extensions and addons of microsoft store and also opera browser store to escape censorship, ou may be add specefic addon by default to Thorium browser to make it compatible by default with extension of edge store and opera store , thank you !

@trimechee What I have done, is use this https://superuser.com/questions/1630300/how-to-install-microsoft-edge-extension-addon-in-chrome to install specific extensions that are only available on the opera or microsoft store.

And I have made some researches..... may be we can install these extensions in edge browser and then install extensions from firefox addons store :

@Alex313031 Hello, about heavy ads blocks feature, i install google chrome and i test via this site :

the resultat is google chrome block heavy ads !

but i test the heavy ads test with Thorium browser and ungoogled chromium and edge browser..... strangely the heavy ads aren't blocked ! maybe google has implemented a mechanism so that the heavy ads block option only works with google chrome....or there is bug in chromium browsers....

Maybe you can consider using the ublock origin extension to block ads

Thank you ! :) I use just adguard dns, youtube now seems to prohibit the use of ad blocker and with manifest v3, maybe adblocks are losing their effectiveness....

I succeded to instal the famous extension videodownload helper and we can download youtube video and audio :

What is the difference between extensions for edge and extensions for chrome/chromium? In addition, as far as I know, catsxp is developed based on brave, and the browser is not open source. @trimechee

There is a very big and important difference between chrome and edge extensiosn addons, google can delete extensions that it considers contrary to its interests, or limit the functionality of certain extensions which allow us to download from youtube, for example the famous extension : Video DownloadHelper has a version for chrome store without youtube support, and also has a version for microsoft edge store with youtube download support:

and in addition, chrome is the most used browser in the world, so there is stricter monitoring of addon extensions, but the browsers microsoft edge, opera, firefox.... are less used therefore less strict monitoring, for example example this rare rare video download extension says that google has deleted the version of this extension on the chrome store, while this extension is still available on the microsoft edge store and mozilla firefox store!

so if our beloved Thorium is compatible with microsft edge store, firefox store, opera store, naver whale browser store....this will allow Thorium to be even more powerful and differentiate itself from other browsers based on chromium which may have extensions with limited functions yes which can be censored by google for example prohibiting downloading from youtube....

We cannot ignore the possibility that youtube's revenues will drop because people download videos instead of watching the ads and google may decide to file a complaint to ban yt-dlp and some extensions....we don't like to affect youtube's revenues. so to support some good youtubers, I sometimes try to watch YouTube videos with ads, and we should do this if there is good ads, but sometimes I have to download the video for offline use because the mobile internet plan is very very expensive.. ..

and even youtube itself allows us to download youtube videos but not in an audio format and apparently we have to connect to the internet every 2 days otherwise the downloaded video will be deleted....

Today I was downloading castxp to test it then I remembered catsxp says on its website Reverse-engineering is prohibited, that made me a little surprised...so I deduce it is not ope source even if some people say it's open source....and I canceled my download
