System Details

Problem The animation is laggy when the mouse moves over the banner in Thorium, but smooth in chrome. CPU usage is high and hardware acceleration doesn't seem to be working properly.

Please try testing in incognito mode

escapezn commented 3 months ago

In fact I just tested in incognito mode, without any extension on.

You may limit your CPU power and try again. On my notebook it is Ok when plugged but awful once unplugged, because CPU goes lower frequency. While chrome always keep doing well

This problem may only occur on AMD graphics. There is no such problem on my other machines. Can anyone with AMD graphics help reproduce this problem? I have an AMD R7-7840 CPU with 780M graphics.

gz83 commented 3 months ago

Since I don't have an AMD graphics card, I tested it in an environment with i7-13700HX+NVIDIA RTX4050.

I cannot reproduce the problem you encountered locally, and version 126 will be released soon. Please test again after version 126 is released.

Unless there are special circumstances, please try not to artificially limit the performance of the device.

Good news! This has been fixed in 126 release.
