How to transfer extensions with all their configurations to a new thorium install. Malfunctioning. #823

I'm using Zorin 17 and newest thorium.

When i move the config/thorium file to a new thorium install. The extensions and all their settings transfer fine, but the username and password saving function becomes corrupt and wont save them anymore even when i tell it to. In particular with ebay.com and www.open.spotify.com, So i have to log into each website every single time. Horrible.

So here's two ways to solve this: 1.) Either fix the saved password corruption problem.

Or 2.) Find a way to transfer all browser extensions and their configurations, by only transferring their specific folder/files, not the whole config thorium file.

-Thanks

you have to export them into a csv then import a csv

Username23453 commented 1 day ago

@Robert-CMDedu , that method wouldnt save configurations or logins.

@Username23453 You have to export the passwords from password manager as a .csv, take the thorium config file then move the config file to the new install then import the passwords

@Robert-CMDedu , whenever i transfer/copy paste the thorium config file on ZorinOS to a new ZorinOS it corrupts it and the password save feature doesnt work properly, malfunctions badly, I've documented this extensively with @Alex313031.

2.) and thanks for telling me about the .csv password export/import feature, i didnt know about that. :)
