When changing notes via BCP, pinned tabs are not being excluded

When on a pinned tab and I use Better Command Palette (BCP) to pull up an existing note, BCP uses the pinned tab to switch to the note rather than pulling up the note in a new tab. I understand non-pinned notes being changed but pinned notes should be avoided when opening notes.

I apologize if my vocabulary in describing the above problem is not entirely accurate; software development is not my expertise.

It also does this to the sidebar views (e.g. Files, Search in Files, Starred). It's literally the only thing here stopping me from replacing the built-in open hotkey with BCP.
