There's a few ways that might be possible to tackle this. It's hard when the
inputs aren't coming in properly. I need to think about this some more. I want
to make sure that the feature is solid before putting it in.

I appreciate you looking into this. As I said if you could make the phone
unlock with just the power button the app would be complete. There is no other
bypass screen lock no the market that has a one button or assigned button
unlock. Keep us all posted. The app has great potential.

i agree with the guy.. in my case there is a dedicated lock button in my phone
(samsung spica) that should be able to lock the phone manualy so we can lock it
when we are done usint the phone, a manual lock is a must!!

I was hoping to get a reply. To reiterate, my moto droid 2 has 3 exterior
buttons - on/off, 'rocker' lever for up/down volume, and a camera button. With
no screen enabled, all three will turn on the screen when it is off. That means
the phone is on more than it is off when it is in my pocket, making it unusable
more often than not. But, it does not interfere with other phone functions like
other no screen locks do. I'd like to make it so I could use it. Any way to
allow 'screen on' only with power button - disabling all other external buttons
from turning on the screen? Unless you have a different idea altogether.

Yes, I was hoping you could let us in on a little bit of the progress.
Everything's great about the app except this button issue. On Nexus S the
volume buttons stick out the most compared to all other galaxy s series phones
and get bumped into alot. I really just hope that there's someway we can
disable them and just let the sleep/wake button do it's job.
Thanks.

Any progress on this? my HTC sensation's volume rockers push constantly in my
pocket. if ONLY the power button would wake it, i could use this app!?! would
still like volume to control media volume when listening to music and screen
off though...
