when you trade with the deep ones you can give them a pearl and a heart of the sea so I feel that since the heart of the sea is MUCH harder to get then pearls it should give you a bonus probably more luck maybe quantity (i do prefer the luck though) and the reputation with the deep ones should go up a little more than it does with and ordinary pearl
