i know im far from the first person to suggest creatures for this mod, and alot of these have probably already been suggested, but id like to offer some ideas and possible concepts if just to show my support for the mod's growth

Mobs

  1. Phoenix (wow another phoenix suggestion, how original) : this one has been suggested to hell and back im sure, but i thought id give it a shot.

Wild: for spawning, the phoenix could have its own "den" in certain biomes like the extreme hills (normal or mutated) or desert hills, where theres a small shrine with a flame on it, maybe different color to the vanilla minecraft fire . when approached by a player, a fire dragon heart, blaze powder and a vial of fire dragon blood could be put into the shrine to use as tributes to summon a phoenix that you have to fight. when defeated the phoenix causes one final explosion before reducing itself to ashes, these ashes can be right clicked on with an empty hand to gather gunpowder or bonemeal from it or collected using a fairy jar or a minecraft flower pot to get a Jar or Urn of Ash. on VERY rare occasions, When right clicking the ash pile with an empty hand, a single Phoenix Feather can be obtained. this feather can be used as a replacement for blaze rods/powder/magma cream in potion brewing or placed on netherrack, right clicked with fire dragon blood then lit on fire to revive into a tamed pheonix, the chick will have 3 stages in its growth, infant juvinile and Adult. Pheonix are genderless, its all a matter of luck if you get the feather.

Tamed: in the infant stage, it will need to be warm and should be kept near fire or lava, as an idle animation it could move its head around like parrots when you play music. in the juvie stage, the phoenix can be carried on your back like baby dragons. while on a player's back, it provides fire resistance as well as a temperature buff (if used with Tought as nails, idk) as well as spreading its wings when the player falls more than 4 blocks to either slow the player down like feather falling or act as a living elytra (maybe even grant full flight somehow) in the adult stage the pheonix can be riden like a dragon, using a special saddle made of dragon scales or a combination of fire blood, and blaze drops. The pheonix can fly faster than dragons but slower than amphitheres, as well as attacking with fire aspect, burning targets with melee and range, they also keep their fire resistance buff from the juvie stage as well as providing light and can be fed Ores. Tamed Phoenix will eat Coal, Charcoal, and Gunpowder. a blaze rod can be used to order the phoenix and shift right clicking while holding the blaze rod will open a furnace gui where the phoenix can smelt ore x3 faster than a furnace. over time phoenix will shed Fiery Feathers.

  1. Minotaur : i saw someone mention minotaur before. heres my take on it

"The Minotaur is not a half man half bull creature rather a massive monstrous Bull that is found in labyrinths deep in the extreme hills. the creature is extremely hostile to any living being or undead mob, using its over grown horns to brutalize anything in its path"

the minotaur is found in a naturally generated labyrinth found underground. it naturally walks around it as it has no real escape. when a player finds the labyrinth, they will deffinitely hear the beast long before they see it, the labyrinth has alot of traps designed to keep the minotaur inside while also having loot to lure victims in to feed it. the most "valuable" loot is kept in the center of the maze. when a player encounters the Minotaur it will let out a bellow that hits the player with slowness and weakness (you're scared shitless) before charging the player full force, this charge will 1-shot un armored players, and severely wound players in armor up to dragon scale, The Minotaur's hide is extremely tough and immune to arrows like trolls, but also takes little damage from melee weapons aside from dragon steel which deals OK damage. the most effective weapon on a minotaur is its own Horn, which can be obtained one of two ways. as a drop from a dead minotaur or, Ripped off the beast while its alive (good luck). the way a player gets the horn from a living beast is to use a shield, due to its over grown size and the bulls power, the horn will snap off when it hits the shield, allowing players to pick it up and use it as a lance of sort, it can also be crafted into the TyranusAxe. a stronger version of the minotaur's horn, with dragon bones as the hilt and Myrmex Resin as a bonding agent. when killed the minotaur has a low chance to drop both horns (or one if the other was snapped) as well as Toughened hide, which makes extremely damage resistant armor, however it makes the wearer slow and grants mining fatigue just wearing it due to its weight. Minotaur can be Male or Female as there is not just one beast, but a whole species unlike the legend. Male Minotaurs have a golden nose ring while females do not. Female Minotaurs guard something much more valuable in their mazes, in the very heart of all minotaur mazes, theres a loot room with gold piles and chests, in female Minotaur mazes, there will be a small, harmless minotaur calf.

Tamed: Minotaur Calves can be tamed using Milk and Fed Wheat when tamed. they will act mostly as vanilla minecraft Cows, except cannot be milked until they become adults (only females can be milked duh) , when a minotaur is an adult it can be ridden with a standard saddle or ordered to patroll like a cockatrice, tamed Minotaurs are neutral to all passive and neutral mobs until they, their owner, or their owner's livestock are attacked, ridden minotaurs can be made to charge using the dragon strike key. granting it a strength 4 buff during the charge. Minotaurs can be told to sit or patroll with a wooden hoe (shepard's crook)

  1. Mermaid

Wild: Mermaids look no different from a disguised Siren, and also have the luring effect on their songs, the difference being that they Do NOT try to eat your soul when approached, rather they simply wish to talk, entertain and trade with adventurers. Mermaids when right clicked open a trading menu where players can trade raw fish, prismarine and shining scales for other items, sometimes random, sometimes good, who knows, mermaids are curious about humans and collect what we throw in the ocean. occasionally a mermaid will also have a one time trade for a siren's tear. Mermaids can be "Tamed" by giving them Shiny scales straight up. the mermaid will then follow the player for 1 to 3 minecraft days, allowing them to move her to a new location if the player found a good deal, Mermaids are SLOW on land but will not suffocate, much like a Hyppocampus. Mermaids cannot breed nor will they ever truely be tamed. Mermaids you have traded with will no longer have a hypnotic effect to their songs instead singing beautifully for fun

  1. Harpy

Wild: Harpies spawn in Jungles and savanah platues in flocks of 3 to 6 like Stymphalian Birds, the attack players with their sharp talons as well as picking players up and droppig them from the heights. Harpies are hostile while air-borne (hunting) and neutral while on the ground. Harpies are a female only species and like to hoard shiny things in their nests. Harpies will drop several feathers and their talons when killed which can be used as substitutes for amphithere materials for arrows. when stuck by an arrow on their wings the harpy will drop to the ground where the player can use Rabbit Stew to "tame" them.

Tamed: "Tamed" Harpies will act passive to the player that fed them and will follow them around much like a dog would, the tamed Harpies can wear vanilla armor as well as given an inventory. shift rightclicking a harpy will open her inventory where she can equip armor as well as expand her inventory by giving her a chest. Tamed harpies can also pick up the player in their talons when right clicked with a feather, allowing players to slow down their falling speed or to fly upwards a few blocks (10 - 15 blocks, Harpies arent very strong so they cant carry you forever), Harpies can be "untamed" by giving them a rotten egg, in which they will fly away for a few blocks before returning to normal behavior. right clicking Harpies with a Golden nugget will make them follow the player while right clicking them with an empty hand will set them to sit or wander.

Items

  1. Jar of Ash/ Urn of Ash - collected from a phoenix's ash pile, can be used to craft TNT by putting it in the center of the crafting grid and surrounding it with 8 pieces of sand, crafts 6 tnt. it can also be used on crops, by right clicking on them, it will instantly grow the drop, can be used multiple times until its durability wears out (25 to 50 crops)

  2. Phoenix Feather - a Beautifully colored feather rarely found in phoenix ash, can be used as a replacement for any brewing reciepie that needs blaze powder, magma creams or as a replacement crafting material for blaze rod. can also be placed on the ground for decoration, when right clicked with Fire Dragon Blood and lit on fire, it can "hatch" into a baby Phoenix

  3. Fiery Feather - Similar to the Phoenix Feather, it replaces Blaze Powder, Blaze Rods and Magma Creams in crafting and brewing but will not hatch into a phoenix. dropped by tamed phoenix over time, like chicken eggs

  4. Horn of the Minotaur - one of the easier ways to kill a minotaur, 100% drop if you shield a minotaur's charge but with low durability, when collected from a minotaur's body, will have full durability, 15% chance to get the horn off the body of a dead minotaur.

  5. Tyranus Axe - Strong as Dragon Bone swords but deals extra damage to minotaurs, crafted in the same way as vanilla minecraft axe but using Dragon Bones as sticks with one myrmex resin at the top and two minotaur horns on the side

  6. Stymphalian Ingot - a combination of Bronze ingots and stimphalian feathers, creates a durable lightweight ingot that when used to craft swords allows them to be used rapidly without much cool down (basically the way swords worked before the combat update) as strong as Diamond with more durability Crafted in the Dragon Forge

  7. Harpy Feather/Harpy Talon/Harpy Arrow - harpy feathers and talons are used as materials for Hapry arrows, able to flight straight like stymphalian arrows, pierce through player's armor to deal true damage and inflict nausea for 5 seconds when hit
