Not able to install 5.0.0 on ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS #14

I added the PPA, run apt-get update but when I do an apt-get install tesseract-ocr, I still get the 3.04.01 version as the newest.

apt-cache policy libleptonica-dev libleptonica-dev: Installed: 1.73-1 Candidate: 1.73-1 Version table: *** 1.73-1 500 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Hi. Tesseract version 5.0.0 not building on Ubuntu 16.04 :(

HI @AlexanderP do we have version > 3.05 support for Ubuntu 16.04?

Hi @indraw705 . There is a tesseract version 4.1.3 for Ubuntu 16.04. https://notesalexp.org/tesseract-ocr/packages/en/ubuntu/xenial/amd64/tesseract-ocr/
