Lock (pin) icon #56

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. types enough commands to enable scrollbar
2. scroll up

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The lock icon (or at least part of it) gets redrawn multiple times when
scrolling up.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.8.1, 10.5.6

Please provide any additional information below.
As a side note, I don't think that a lock is an appropriate icon for a "pin"
feature. I did not realize
what the icon was for until I read the readme with the source. A "push pin"
icon is far more
common for this type of feature.

Yep, I've also noticed.

Is there any way to get the pin option someplace that's not simply on top of
the
terminal display? An addition to the menu item might be a good place --
right-click to
pin, or something like that.

Fixed in 1.9. I've removed the pin icon and added toggle under status menu.

I was a bad idea to render something over terminal window.

A one click solution was nice. Also, for people who don't use the visor menu
there is now no way to pin.

Agree with gkruse -- the menubar icon is useless to me and a clutter-some waste
of space, except that it's the
only way to pin. Please consider adding a key mapping for pinning!

agree with 4 and 5, a simple pin icon that doesn't require enabling and using
the menu would be very useful
