libappindicator tray: close menus when losing focus #412

When I click on a tray icon (eg nm-applet, slack, whatever) the menu pops up as it should. There doesn't seem to be any way to close this popup other than making sure it has focus then pressing escape. This can be problematic if you use click to focus, lose focus and want to regain it.

Other desktop envs typically close these menues when clicking away. Is this at all possible or already configurable?

Any news on this? I would very much like this to be implemented.
